I wasn’t so sure I would like using other people’s designs from the Heritage Makers Template Gallery, but once I understood the flexibility of the online Studio design center, I couldn’t imagine what I would do without it! I am saving hours of “creativity block” simply because I start with something already on the paper! Then I swap, swap, swap and in a short amount of time, I’m finished! This is the next generation of “scraplifting” – using someone’s layout or design and making it into your own.
Here’s a project I completed while my daughter played hopscotch outside this afternoon. I brought my camera out too and my laptop and made it right on the front porch. (Yes, that was me crouched under my sweater so that I could see my monitor without the glare.)
Here is the “before” picture of a cute 12×12 Scrapbook Page that I found in the Gallery by talented designer Michelle Bedard.
Here is the “after” of what I made and can call my own. I used the digital scrapbooking collection called “A Breath of Fresh Air”.
If you missed the post on starting a Heritage Makers project from a template, where you can watch a video tutorial to see how its done, you can find it again here. You can also find a whole suite of video tutorials on my website’s help page.
